Biographical sketch
Mayor McMillan has served as Mayor of the City of Spanish Fort since 2012, and he is in his third term. McMillan served as a City Council Member from 2004 to 2012, and he served as Chairman Pro Tem from 2008 to 2012. Prior to being elected to the City Council, McMillan was appointed to serve on various boards, including Chairman of Cooperative Improvement District of the City of Spanish Fort-Highway 181 Public Facilities and Vice-Chairman of the Spanish Fort Planning Commission, and he has also served on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Fort Fire Rescue Department, Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance and Southwest Alabama Industrial Development Council.
McMillan is the owner of McMillan Sales, Inc., which is a food brokerage business he started in 1995, and he has served, or is currently serving, on numerous civic boards, including the Baldwin County United Way, Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, Spanish Fort Educational Enrichment Foundation, Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization, D’Olive Watershed Committee, Baldwin County Mayors Association, Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort and the Baldwin County Republican Executive Committee.
McMillan is married to Tricia, his wife of 35 years, and he has two daughters, Barbara and Angelle, and one grandson, Campbell.
